Salam everyone,
I was reflecting on humanity and our beliefs and I was simply wondering what others thought about the following statement. Is it moral people or obedient people that go to heaven. If someone just so happen to be born into the right faith and followed it because they believed that they were being judged 24/7, that would make the person obedient and not necessarily a moral individual. I believe that if we use Islam as our framework ( as we should since this is an "islamic" website), there would be moral people both in heaven and hell. It really seems like the morality of the individual is of almost no concern in the decision of there final abode but rather the religion which they pledged their allegiance to. If they are lucky enough to be following the correct religion and were simply obedient then they would go to heaven (which is the case for almost every religion). So, what does everyone think, is it morality or obedience or maybe a healthy mix of the two and if that's the case does one take precedent over the other or are they equal.
