Saying Hello

Salams, I've heard it is haram to say hello. Is this true? If so, why?

From where you hear this? If some friend told it to you, has he enough knowledge to say what is haram and what is not?

Why would you say it anyway? Do you not greet with :salamext: ?

I heard this ludricous comment today too; some woman preaching on the internet suggested the 'hell' in hello stands for hell! :lol: [this is not an attack on women by the way, us men say stupid things too! :embarrass] so long story short, no it's not haram, but as muslims we ofcourse should say the salam to one another
