What's Islam?

"ISLAM" is submission to the Creator of the universe, in peace. Simple as that. Why all the fuss about 'Islamic Law' (shari'ah), 'oppression' and 'terrorism'? Good question. Answer - Because Muslims, sometimes, have not done the real job of communication - of true Islam - IN PLAIN ENGLISH. It is critical at this time to get out the right message of Islam - The message of One Unique God, and His people.

Over 1,600 TV channels broadcast in the U.S. and Canada, right now - Millions are watching satellite and cable every day. But until now there has been nothing for representation of the monotheistic faith for millions of the Non-Christian believers in the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus, especially for Muslim Americans

Originally started out in 1998 to meet the demand for authentic faith based English representation of a broad ethnic population living throughout America. First we first started building websites on the Internet. After years of experimentation, we came up with a way to digitally stream videos on channels for scholars to broadcast excellent live and prerecorded video programs, into the homes of thousands of viewers around the world.

We provide programs everywhere; from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Turkey, Africa, the Gulf, the Netherlands, the U.K. and of course America, all across Canada and the U.S.

Our live and recorded Internet video streaming extends around the earth and offers alternate understandings for faith, in simple English for many homes on our planet. But what about all those homes that don't have Internet or don't know about our online channels? We have spent years researching logistics to achieve something that has never been seen in America - until now:

Three years ago we started to build a firm foundation to the extent, we are proud to announce - Guide US TV is ready to launch and broadcasting online right now! Content IS KING! That's what they say in broadcast TV - And we have a great mix of quality programs from our media partners like, Peace TV, HUDA TV, Islam Channel, Voice of Islam and our own inventory.

Check out these samples: www.WatchIslam.com & www.99islam.com

Our Guide US TV team of scholars, teachers and presenters are all working hard producing more content to continue our presentation of true Islam in English - 24 hours a day - On broadcast TV in America. We are not funded by wealthy organizations, corporations or even commercial advertising.

The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of 'smoke' (i.e. an opaque highly dense and hot gaseous composition). This is one of the undisputed principles of standard modern cosmology. Scientists now can observe new stars forming out of the remnants of that 'smoke'. The illuminating stars we see at night were, just as was the whole universe, in that 'smoke' material.

Almighty God said in the Quran:
Then He turned to the heavens when it was smoke... [Noble Quran 41:11]

Because the earth and the heavens above (the sun, moon, stars, planets, galaxies, etc.) have been formed from this same 'smoke' we conclude that the earth and the heavens were one connected entity. Then out of this homogeneous 'smoke', they formed and separated from each other. God said in the Quran:
Have not those who disbelieved known that the heavens and the earth were one connected entity, then We separated them?..[Noble Quran 21:30]

Professor Alfred Kroner is one of the world's well-known geologists. He is a Professor of the Department of Geosciences, University of Mainz, Mainz, Germany. He said, "Thinking where Muhammad came from .. I think it is almost impossible that he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because scientists have only found out within the last few years with very complicated and advance technological methods that this is the case." (From 'This is the Truth' [video]). Also he said, "Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics fourteen hundred years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his own mind, for instance, that the earth and the heavens had the same origin."

Look closer to the heaven surrounding the earth. We call it the 'sky'. Notice the clouds? What are they? The Quran on Clouds

That is a paradox.

Simple English. For such a deep subject; one that requires whole-hearted conviction.

I feel there is a process to this, to know each of the 5 pillars of islam and the 6 articles of faith. Then also to know our duty in this very world if we believe in the 5 and 6, then we have to be charitable, generous, in every respect, from a simple smile right up to donation of funds. To fight oppression or any wrong doing. Help the weak and needy. Be fair (honest in trade) and forgiving. Speak only good of people and not gossip. Maintaining peaceful relationship with the neighbours are items that come off the top of my head.

You see, in simple terms to me any way, the 5 pillars and 6 articles are about tauhid and our obligations to Allah. Only an item relates to dunia. Giving of zakat. Only that benefits anything other than our offerings directly to Allah swt. Zakat is where the needy gets something from our forced 'generosity'.

Surely there must be more we have to input to this world to get a place in heaven than just to do the 5 pillars and believe the 6 articles. No?

Hence the list above, to fight oppression etc.. so, let's take that a step further... how can we sin here on earth? (Not directly against Allah) to humans, to animals, living things and nature. And to humans, your parents, mum especially is top. Then the family, close relatives, neighbours (I would presume colleagues fall in this category), distance relatives, wayfarers etc .

So if we have sinned against people, it is best we seek their firgiveness here on earth.

Have I disgressed?
