Beard trimming

Okay, so I understand it's haram to shave but okay to trim the beard. I know there are some really good electric trimmers out there, though, that can trim pretty closely. Is there a minimum length requirement?

The minimum length of the beard is one fist. You cannot trim it below that.

Ibn `Umar :ra: said, The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short.' Whenever Ibn `Umar :ra: performed the Hajj or `Umra, he used to hold his beard with his hand and cut whatever remained outside his hold. [Bukhari]

Um... considering growing the beard is now a fashion ​trend amongst the "kufr"... what say to that?
 
simple - it's a bad imitation which they promote for the sake of fashion.

Meanwhile Muslims do not grow beards for fashion but to appease a Sunnah.

Intent is important here.
