A blast reported near Jannatul Baqi a little while earlier.
Suicide bomber blew himself up near a police post at the Prophet’s Mosque in #Madinah, Al Arabiya network reports.

From Arab News report:

In Madinah, a bomb exploded in the vicinity of a police post outside the Prophet’s Mosque, killing four policemen and two civilians, reports said.

A police source told Arab News that the officers manning the post were having their iftar meal when the suicide bomber struck.

The bomber reportedly asked to join the policemen in having iftar and he was welcomed. As soon as he got near, he exploded his suicide vest.

I am tired of evil people blowing themselves up; these evil persons are not any kind of martyr, not by any definition of Islam.

The innocent people they kill are martyrs, and the suicide bombers are doomed to the Fire.

How sad and despicable that they cannot even leave Last 10 Days of Shahru Ramadan, a time of solidarity with indigent people and love for humanity and restful contemplation of God and His mercy and sincere seeking of Laylatul Qadr, alone and violate the command of killing even in this month.

Just goes to show that people today have no heart, no moral compass, and no religion, even if they lay claim outwardly to be a person of Islam.

Islam is about submission to God, not submission to shaiataan (satan's) desire to destroy, kill, maim.

"Whoever wishes harm and evil upon the people of Madīnah, Allāh destroys him. Bukhārī (1877) and Muslim (1387) report from S`ad Ibn Abī Waqqās (radiyallahu `anhu) that Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Whoever intends to do harm [or wishes ill] to the people of Madīnah, Allāh will cause him to melt like salt dissolving in water.”

And in a narration (Muslim, no. 1363):
“..except that Allāh will melt him in the Fire like lead, or like salt dissolving in water.”

And in a narration reported by Ahmad in the Musnad (16557):
“Whoever scares the people of Madīnah oppressively, then Allāh scares him – upon him is the curse of Allāh, the Angels and all of humankind – and on the Day of Resurrection, Allāh will not accept from him any payment nor compensation.”"

Hasbun allah wa ni'mal wakeel wa inna illahi wa inna ilahi raji'oon.

May Allah grant ease to the victiims' families.

A suicide bomber has killed four security officers and injured five others near one of Islam's holiest sites in the Saudi city of Medina, according to the interior ministry.

The bomber detonated his explosives after being stopped outside the Prophet's Mosque, a statement said.

The mosque is the burial place of the Prophet Muhammad and Medina the second-holiest city in Islam after Mecca.

Blasts also struck two other Saudi cities on Monday.

That the attack happened in Medina at such a place is likely to leave Muslims around the world aghast, BBC World Service's Middle East editor, Alan Johnston, says.

Suspicion is likely to fall on so-called Islamic State (IS), he adds.

How on earth would anyone want to do this in the holy city near prophet mohammed s.a.w masjid (isnt that the total opposite of what they think theyre fighting for) during ramadan, even just killing innocent people SUBHANALLAH

How could someone who calls themselves a Muslim commit such an awful act? I just can't understand this twisted mentality, I was speechless when I heard the news.

And the recent bombings in Iraq, not to mention Turkey, all in this blessed month of Ramadan.

We were just 5 mins away from the attack n walking towards the area when it happened. Smoke was hectic. The ground shook and we were wondering what on earth that was but an attack in Madina esp in that area was the last thing we expected. Very sad.

Prophet :saws: denied to Pray funeral prayer on those who killed themselves (hadith) but prayed even on adulterers and other grave sinners.
