Ramadan and shawal fasts

Asalaamu Alaikum:

As I'm a girl Iv missed some fasts in Ramadan (not intentionally) Iv not kept those fasts yet but Iv started keeping shawal fasts..so my question is will these shawal fasts get accepted without me completing the fardh fasts? I will in sha Allah keep the missed Ramadan fasts after shawal ones. Are there any rules that one has to make up the Ramadan fasts before shawal? I feel as though I am doing something completely wrong.

I asked a Shaykh about this and he told me you can do
It mean you can fast the 6 days if you don't have enough days in shawal to fast both your missed days and 6 days and shawal
