Seriously, my dad.. I thought he said religions are fake, but instead he meant faith..

And I smiled?! The heck?! Why?? I don't even understand. I believe I smiled out of surprise possibly???

Some people laugh when they're angry. It's called "laughter therapy".

You probably laughed out of confusion:happy:.

But only Islam is the true 'Faith'.

We sometimes smile or laugh when someone says something stupid, unexpected or mispronounce some word. We know it´s not polite to smile or laugh but it´s so fast reaction that we hardly can control it.

Once my friend told me that she had read from the news that two police officers were brutally murdered on the street. I smiled. She must thought that I am insane or sadist. But it just was my the first, not controlled reaction.

Assalamu alaykum

It's a very natural response, I think especially if you hear something you strongly disagree with, or is ridiculous or are not sure what to say, you just smile or laugh, like on the other side of the spectrum from a fit of anger.

Once, someone said something so utterly ridiculous, it was unbelievable, and not knowing what to say, and not being bothered enough to argue, I kind of laughed (and I didn't find it funny at all). Might be like hysterical laughter - it's a very unconscious thing though.

Altho when I am very angry (rarely, alhamdulillah), I cry. I hate that as well, but it's something beyond my control.
