right now, I'm stuck between a few possible plans for my future
A) major in history, then get a master's and possibly a doctorate in history and become a historian or history professor.....the problem with that plan is that I'd have to hold off on getting married..., and id be poor and still in school for so long
b) get a major in economics, and then possibly get a master's and possibly a doctorate in economics....if I choose to just get an undergrad, I would get married right away without financial trouble, and I could get a job as a financial analyst or possibly entry level economist.......if I get a master's a job as a regular economist....if I get a doctorate, a job in academia.....problem with those last three are marriage.......and because id barely make enough money to survive for 5-10 years, as well as the possibility of working with riba....also, working in a regular job as a financial analyst or entry level consultant may be too stressful......but the good side is, I make a lot of money, and work in a field I love....
c)get an undergrad in history, and then get an online master's in library science and become a librarian....I like this plan, because I get to do a job that doesn't involve a lot of people skills (I have autism and social anxiety), and it's a predictable job, and rewarding......there are also opportunities for advancement, since I could become a library director.....only problems with this plan are, marriage, the fact that I would have to go online for two years to study since there are no nearby library science schools, except in a small town down south....and I fear the culture clash....so if I study online, I could get lonely.....I also am not sure what I want to be working in for the rest of my life......could someone give me guidance? PLEASE???? EDIT: I'm also considering going online for my undergraduate degree, in library science, which makes it even more complicated....

Assalamu Alaikum

Talk to your university's advisors for the particular majors your interested in and figure out which best is most suitable for you and is attainable. Your indecisiveness will not get you far, and thinking so far ahead without even getting through the first step will not benefit you either (eg. planning for your phD without even getting through your bachelors).

Read the advice you've gotten in your previous threads about the same topic.

Please be aware of the similar threads you keep creating and be courteous to those who have given you advice in the past by actually taking their advice and applying it to your life. I'm very keen on closing this thread, but i will spare you this time.

Read Salaatul Istikhara, discuss with your parents and accept the will of Allah.
