Shah Waliyullaah رحمة الله عليه was unique. He is from a very small group of `Ulamaa who were unanimously accepted by all groups. All the major groups accept Shah Waliyullaah, whether it is the Salafis, or Deobandis, or Barelvis, or Hararis/Ahbaash, or Jamaat-e-Islaami, or Ahle Hadees (Indo-Pak subcontinent). Another `Aalim like this was Imaam an-Nawawi رحمة الله عليه; everyone unanimously accepts him and makes use of his Kutub. On the other hand, where many of the other `Ulamaa are concerned, some groups accept them and some reject them. Like Shaykh-ul-Islaam ibn Taymiyyah رحمة الله عليه for example. The Barelvis, the Hararis/Ahbaash/AICP, and a small sub-group within Deoband reject him. The other `Ulamaa of Deoband as well as the Salafis accept him. Same goes for `Allaamah ibn al-Qayyim رحمة الله عليه. Imaam al-Ghazaali. Imaam ar-Raazi, etc.
