I read that in the last third of the night, between isha and fajr, Allah aza wa jal descends from his throne and answers prayers and accepts repentance....but if you pray for something which is not in your qadr, will Allah change your qadr? and if only certain things can be changed, which can be? for instance, what about praying that you marry a certain girl? or that the zulm in a country be ended? or that the zulm in a country be ended in a way in which you predict?

A'salamu alaykum.

Yes, Du'aa can change your Qadr. Because our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Nothing can change the Divine decree except Du'aa." and it is Hasan

And one time when Du'aa is readily accept is in the last third of the night.

Make Du'aa, whatever you want, even if it seems impossible, as long as it is Halal. Allah is not limited to anything. Allah knows best.

Assalamu alaykum,

Of course, as the sister has said, dua can change qadr, and tahajjud is a time for the acceptance of dua.

And dua is really one of the most beautiful ways a believer has of communicating with Allah swt, because you acknowledge that only Allah swt can provide you with what you need - and recognising that and realising He is always listening to us is just so reassuring.

And, if I may add, Allah swt will *always* listen to our duas - however, we mustn't become despairing or impatient if they don't appear to have been answered. It may be that what you ask for is not so good for you, or that dua may be fulfilled at a later time - just know that He is always listening and is the best of Planners.
