'‘Convey [my teachings] to the people even if it were a single sentence, and tell others the stories of Bani Israel [which have been taught to you] for it is not sinful to do so. And whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the Jahannam.’'...... Imam Malik (rahimahullah) mentioned that those historical reports that are known to be false (by contradicting our texts for example) are not included in this Hadith....(Fathul Bari, Hadith: 3461) also see (Introduction to Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Introduction to Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah and Muqaddimatun fi Usululit Tafsir of Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah, pg.32)

''Dawud (‘alayhis salam) once asked Allah Ta’ala, ‘O My Rabb! [Being given the ability to] thank you and to express gratitude to you is also your bounty over me, so how do I express my gratitude to you?’ Allah Ta’ala revealed to him, ‘When you have realized this [that you will never be able to express enough gratitude for my bounties] then now you have made shukr’' (Hilyatul Awliya, vol. 6 pg. 56 and Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 4100, 4101. Musa (‘alayhis salam) once wondered, does Allah Ta’ala sleep? So Allah sent to him an Angel, who kept Musa (‘alayhis salam) awake for three days, and then gave Musa (‘alayhis salam) two bottles [to hold] in each hand. After that Musa (‘alayhis salam) slept and the two bottles fell from his hands and broke. He said: “Allah has given me an example, that if Allah slept then the heavens and the earth would not have been upheld.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Surah Baqarah, Ayah: 255)

“O my servant, You have certain desires/wishes and I have certain wishes. However what I wish will come to pass. If you submit to my will I will suffice you all your wishes. However, if you do not submit to my wish, I will tire you in [trying to fulfill your wishes] and then what I wish will still transpire” (Nawadirul Usul, Hadith: 732 and 1597, Lisanul Mizan, vol. 5 pg. 310. Also see Ithafus Sadah Al Muttaqin, vol. 9 pg. 653)

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) once asked Tubay’ Al Himyari, the step son of Ka’b Al Ahbar, did you hear Ka’b say anything regarding the clouds? Tubay’ said, I heard him say: “Indeed the clouds act as sieves/strainers for the rain, were it not for the clouds when water falls from the sky, the rain would have destroyed everything that it falls upon [probably due to the force]” (Tafsir Ibn Abi Hatim, Surah: Al Baqarah, verse: 164)

“O my slave, there is your intention, and there is my intention , if you sacrifice your intentions over mine, then I will help in your intentions, and only that what is my intention will happen. And if you do not sacrifice your intentions over mine, then I will tire you in pursuit of what you intend… and only that will happen what I like.” (Nawadirul Usul, hadith: 737 & 1575, Sharhul Ihya, vol.9 pg.653)

“Once Musa (‘alayhis salam) asked Allah, O My Rabb!, Are you close so that I may secretly remember you or are you far so that I may call out unto you? Allah Ta’ala replied, O Musa!, I am the companion of those who remember me…”(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 1231 and Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 670)

“I am Allah, there is no king besides Me I am king of kings, The hearts of kings are in my control. When my servants obey me,then I fill their king’s hearts with leniency and mercy. When my servants disobey me, then I fill their kings hearts with vengeance and hatred towards them, so then the kings harm and punish them, Do not busy yourself in cursing them rather remember Allah and make yourselves humble, I will suffice you against these kings”.(Hilyatul Awliya)
