Direct Way To Piety.

As-Salaam alaykum,
In line with the advise of Sayyadi Abdul Qadir Jilani, rahimahullah, we can achieve piety.... that deep respect for Allah, Azzah Wa Jallah, and religion...by holding fast to the following 10 things:--

1. Saving the tongue from gheebat (backbiting)

2. Refraining from suspicion

3. Do not mock others

4. Safeguarding our eyes from casting lewd glances.. not looking at prohibited things

5. Always speak the truth

6. Acknowledging the favours of Allah Ta'ala. Do not attribute any achievement to yourself

7. Spend your wealth on the deserving, not on those who are not in need, and do not spend it on evil pursuits

8. Do not desire lofty ranks in this world

9. Be punctual with the 5 daily prayers (Salaat)... observing the Ruku and Sajda properly

10. Follow the Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam) and do not disunite from the Ummah.

May Allah, Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala, grant us the ability to observe and/or keep to these 10 lofty works/beauties... ameen.
