the prevent duty certainly needs "fine tuning"
or at least an independent review,
also the retraining of trainers and an acknowledgement of some mistakes and some problematic cases
its marketing and application could have been better,
a protection project which is deemed by some as a domination and spying project

well these are some opinions in the public domain

another pet peeve of muslim commentators is the idea that to be government funded is unacceptable
and to be non gov funded is the ideal scenario

my question is ,who decides this?

surely the integrity and acceptability of any endeavour is not judged by who funds it
but what it achieves!

so it is quite possible that a govt funded org is effective ,positive and beneficial
and an n.g.o is the opposite

let people decide!
based on results
and not by emotional, divisive language and smearings.

disclaimer
i am not a member of any organisation ,govt funded or otherwise

i believe we should all do our own research ,regarding the whole foreign policy, terrorism, prevent debates

and rely much less on organisations who behave as the muslim gatekeepers/spokesmen or women
