Some Muslims could eat non halal meat??

I have a cousin and friend who studied in Riyadh and they believe said u can eat outside meat if you follow a certain school of thought or something. Like the friend just eats meat from American places and such. I'm so confused...I thought Muslims only eat halal?

thats wrong . Animals culled ONLY BY MUSLIMS is allowed to eat. When you still in doubt when you eat from a Muslim shop who appears to be NON PIOUS or ignorant of Islam (inspite of enquiring him about the validity of halal meat in his shop) if he affirms thats halal 100 % then you must read ' bismillahi Allahu akbar '' before eating such meat.

Eating not halal stuff (either halal cut or from haram earning such as interest - riba, cheating, gambling ) makes null all your ibadha for forty days .
