View Full Version : How do I use Islamic cures in addition to medication to heal?

@OmAbdullah
I have mental illnesses which I can't even explain, and which my understanding of modern psychiatry can't explain, and even my psychiatrist has not found a proper diagnosis (in my opinion, and she does not explain well....i dont know what autism, adhd, and ocd and anxiety have to do with this).
Symptoms:
When even the tiniest of things becomes a plan, I obsess on it so much that i defeat the entire purpose of the benefit derived from the plan, by obsessing, aggressively (VERY aggressively) calling people, yelling at people, (even my own mother, and lately it's gotten worse), and having panic attacks which make me feel like I'm going to pass out, or like my eyeballs or rolling backwards into my head, or like i become disoriented, or like i feel the need to self harm, or where i become abnormally afraid once i do something TOO drastic or when i do something off topic somewhat related to the topic.
I try curing it by slowing down myself with milk, yogurt, medication, or herb tea, but that only makes it worse.
So i drink coffee and coca cola...but that makes it even worse.
I lie and curl up in my bed or on the floor hiding beneath a blanket and say strange things which don't make sense to me and which I don't care about once the episode is over, and fear abnormally, and feel extreme shame.
When i exceedbounds, the tiniest of things makes me overwhelmingly relieved or overjoyed, or panic to the point that the panic itself is worse than what could actually happen as a result of what i did.
two nights ago, i took 3 sleeping pills, with the intent to fall into a deep, coma-like sleep, and instead became drunk and recovered.
i also rage far beyond the whole point of being angry.
help?

Assalaamo alaykum,

Insha-Allah good will come to you .

start by:
1. reciting the four Quls and Ayatul Kursi regularly, 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the evening.
2. Reciting SubhanAllahi wa Alhamdulillahi wa laa ilaha illa Allaho wa Allaho Akbar Wa laa hawla wa laa quwata illa billahil alee-alzeem nonstop all the time
in order to overcome the shaytan
3. remove all sleeping pills because it is easy to overdose on them and this can cause death.

If by getting drunk, you mean you had alcoholic drinks, then stop this as well because it is haram. in addition, alcoholic drinks can interact with sleeping pills and cause coma and death.

I am waiting for more information from you.

From more information, I mean your detailed history (of the symptoms). As psychiatry always depends upon the surrounding causes therefore, please tell me what type of plans trigger these symptoms?

thank you, brother, I have also been eating honey and drinking black seed oil. (but less than what I ws taking before, before I stopped taking it, because I was taking it too much. today i took 1 teaspoon. what types of plans? for instance, today at university, i felt very ill from stress due to sensory overload and autism (too much stimuli), alongside the following: In the past, I would obsess over plans to visit places to see girls, but when I realized that was haram and no one would allow it, I found a loophole, as well as a new obsession: spend time with young children (girls), and then marry them when they get older......but much of that was due to me realizing I enjoyed spending time with children during Eid. (not pedophilia). so my plans were canceled because my mother caught on and said it was inappropriate for a boy my age to be spending time with girls that young. i asked my mother if i could leave uni early, by text, due to all the illness, but she refused, and threatened to cancel my plans to go to a restaurant, and to go over to one family' home who has a sociology professor/imam, and a young boy and young girl. i stuck through, and my mother said she would visit me at a designated time, but she didnt realize my last class was cancelled by the professor, so i obsessively called her to come pick me up early because i didn't want to get picked up by the old man who was a friend of the family as I arranged. i eventually had him bring me home (btw, in case youre wondering, i dont have a driver's license yet), and my mother was suprised i had even come home so early, (she didn't get my texts). Also, plans to visit girls, or children, because due to my autism I have a developmental delay in personality and feel i can relate to preteens and early teens and children better, and plans to eat out.

Alhamdulillah, Follow the instructions given i.e. the zhikar, and also keep away from sleeping pills. Insha-Allah you will sleep with the zhikar if you keep it on.
