that would strengthen islam So those 7 ahruf - dialect (hope thats a exact translation UNLIKE the word mansukh so called abrogation) eventually helped The illiterate Arabs to get stronger easily in the Quran and Eemaan so sooner
and so it happened The Arabs ( sheep herders, camel herders)
became the super power of the globe in just 35 years which is a miracle ( will any expect some country like Nepal or lower than that to beat the USA & RUSSIA to becomea super power in 35 years ??) No Muslim must deny this truth of seven ahruf dialects and a hadith from Abu Huraira states
From Abû Hurairah:The Messenger of God(P) said: "The Qur'an was sent down in seven ahruf. Disputation concerning the Qur'an is unbelief" - he said thisthree times - "and you should put into practice what you know of it, and leave what you do not know of it to someone who does."[1]
A main point to note is those seven dialects - Ahruf had already caused differences during the life time of Prophet :saws:as seen here
Muslim :: Book 4 : Hadith 1787 Ubayy b. Ka'b reported: I was in the mosque when a man entered and prayed and recited (the Qur'in) in a style to which I objected. Then another man entered (the mosque) and recited in a style different from that of his companion. When we had finished the prayer, we all went to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said to him:
This man recited in a style to which I objected, and the other entered and recited in a style different from that of his companion. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) asked them to recite and so they recited, and the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) expressed approval of their affairs (their modes of recitation). and there occurred In my mind a sort of denial which did not occur even during the Days of Ignorance. When the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) saw how I was affected (by a wrong idea), he struck my chest, whereupon I broke into sweating and felt as though I were looking at Allah with fear. He (the Holy Prophet) said to me: Ubayy. a message was sent to me to recite the Qur'an in one dialect, and I replied:
Make (things) easy for my people. It was conveyed to me for the second time that it should be recited in two dialects. I again replied to him: Make affairs easy for my people. It was again conveyed to me for the third time to recite in seven dialects And (I was further told): You have got a seeking for every reply that I sent you, which you should seek from Me. I said: O Allah! forgive my people, forgive my people, and I have deferred the third one for the day on which the entire creation will turn to me, including even Ibrahim (peace be upon him) (for intercession)''
I accept most of the fatwas from islamqa but a very few like this i keep my reservation ONLY on their reasoning (not the hadith they had quoted) that they were both from Quraishi so there ought not be any differences in dialect (Ahruf).
This is flawed IMHO. I have seen close relatives who have settled in West (USA) and East (Malaysia, S'pore) speak different english accent & dialect different from their own family (leave about Tribe for now which has a wider scope ) A same family person settling in the USA for a decade or two his dialect has changed and his kids who went their have developed or used to a COMPLETE different accent - dialect . Similarly A british guy moving into Ireland as a lad or younger would speaklike an Irish man (dialect & accent ) in decade or two . Even i have seen words changing their meanings in just my 4-5 decades of life so is the fallibility of language .
So these reasoning of islamqa fatwa i quote
''It is known that Hishaam was Asadi Qurashi (i.e., from the clan of Bani Asad in Quraysh) and ‘Umar was ‘Adawi Qurashi (i.e., from the clan of Bani ‘Adiyy in Quraysh). Both of them were from Quraysh and Quraysh had only one dialect. If the difference in ahruf (styles) had been a difference in dialects, why would two men of Quraysh have been different? ''
iS THE ONLY STUMBLING BLOCK which says DIALECT OR AHRUF ARE NOT SAME AND ARE NOT THE SOURCE OF THE FEW DIFFERENCES IN RECITATION AND
EVEN GOING AGAINST THE PROOF OF HADITH ABOVE ( THE TWO READERS DIFFERED BECAUSE OF DIALECT AS PROPHET :saws: CONFIRMED IT) and ALSO AGAINST MOST SCHOLARS
WHO INSIST THAT AHRUF IS DIALECT WHICH IS ALSO QUOTED IN THE SAME FATWA HERE
'' Thirdly: Some of the scholars said that what was meant by ahruf was the dialects of the Arabs, but this is far-fetched, ...............................''
So Islamqa has to recheck their reasoning with more proofs proving that though that sahaba ( Hishaam ibn Hakeem reciting Soorat al-Furqaan) though a Quriashi was NOT brought upon grown up in a differnt dialect tribe ?? Proofs from them should be atleast two (IMHO) as stipulated by our Calipha Uthman RA to any matters related to the kalamullah
So the Gist here is though i have not myself found any Quran which are different except the placement of one or two vowels (as one upon other or to its sides as Pesh) BUT Which undisputably gives out the same pronunciation but from reference given here by Photo copies prove that Warsh (a very minority used mostly in Africa) could have been a few remnants from other dialects of the Glorious Quran or from the copies of Ibn Masood :RA: who was very strict & doubtful in deciding during the reaffirmation of Uthman RA even in listing the sura fathiha & the last two suras as a Dua (preface) or as in The Glorious itself and it was decided by the ijma of 99 % of All Sahabas its in the Quran itself ( Not a dua since the cause of doubt was that those three were very mashoor being read every where for everything )
