Forbidden to be Drunk

Ephesians 5:18-20

“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:19-21

“The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 6:08-10

“Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Interest is forbidden for Christians/Jews

Deuteronomy 23:19-20

“Do not charge a fellow Israelite interest, whether on money or food or anything else that may earn interest. 20 You may charge a foreigner interest, but not a fellow Israelite, so that the Lord your God may bless you in everything you put your hand to in the land you are entering to possess.

Kill the False Prophet

Deuteronomy 13:1-5

“If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.

Kill the Homosexuals

Leviticus 20:13

“If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

STONE BOTH to death when they commit fornication

Deuteronomy 22:23

“If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

Kill those who commit adultery

Leviticus 20:10

“If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death

Deuteronomy 22:22

“If a man is found sleeping with another man’s wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

Training, attacking and capturing in Jihad

Genesis 14:14-16

“‘When Abraham heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan. During the night Abraham divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus. He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people.

Pork is Forbidden

Leviticus 11:7

“‘And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.

Isaiah 66:16-17

“‘For with fire and with his sword, the Lord will execute judgment on all people, and many will be those slain by the Lord. Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs, rats and other unclean things —they will meet their end together with the one they follow,” declares the Lord.

Beard is an Obligation

Leviticus 19:27
“‘Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.

Leviticus 21:5

“‘Priests must not shave their heads or shave off the edges of their beards or cut their bodies.

Afternoon Prayer

Acts 10:30

“Cornelius answered: “Three days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me

Caution : Clocks were invented in the last century and this "three in the afternoon" is a newly added translation as I am sure that Peter & John didn't have an iPhone to set an Alarm!

3 Times a day: Prayer

Daniel 6:10

“Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

Psalm 55:17

Women wearing a Veil

Genesis 24:64-67

“Rebekah also looked up and saw Isaac. She got down from her camel. and asked the servant, “Who is that man in the field coming to meet us?” “He is my master,” the servant answered. So she took her veil and covered herself. Then the servant told Isaac all he had done. Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

Women should cover while praying

1 Corinthians 11:5/5

“But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved.

Wash with Water to attain Purity

Exodus 19:10

“And the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes

Leviticus 8:6

“Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water.

Wash hands before Eating

Mark 7:1-5

“The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed. (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles. So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?”

Ablution

Exodus 40:29-32

“He set the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered on it burnt offerings and grain offerings, as the Lord commanded him. He placed the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing, and Moses and Aaron and his sons used it to wash their hands and feet. They washed whenever they entered the tent of meeting or approached the altar, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Prostration to God

Numbers 20:6

“Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the tent of meeting and fell facedown, and the glory of the Lord appeared to them.

Revelation 7:11

“All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

Genesis 17:3-4

“Abraham fell facedown, and God said to him, As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations.

Corrupting the name

"Abraham" God granted a special name to Sayyiduna Ibraheem (AS) as Abraham (plural) in the bible and yet every major modern translation still keeps calling him Abram (singular) instead of calling him what God calls him as a "title".

Genesis 17:3-5

“Abraham fell facedown, and God said to him, As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.

This special title was granted after prostration to God.

Have more Children and Blessed is the one with more Children

Psalm 127:3

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.

Psalm 127:4-5

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

Genesis 1:28

“God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.

Greetings and peace be with you azc;

Just a slight niggle, the Egyptians were measuring time around 1500 BC, by dividing daylight hours into twelve. Sundials started around 300 BC, whilst they might not be accurate like your I phone, they could still measure time.

I am not sure what you are trying to say from these Bible quotes, maybe you could expand a little.

Sadly, from the beginning of creation, mankind has given in to temptation. There just seems a lot more temptation in the western world, and I think it is spreading. Christians and Muslims face the same kind of problems.

In the spirit of praying to 'One God'

I do not know which of the verses listed are from the Old Testament, but I thought that Christians disregard anything before Christ? The idea being that "Jesus died for all the sins and thus any laws or revelations sent down before him is now discarded"

God is one:

Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one

Mark 10:18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.

Mark 12:29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one

John 17:3 “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God , and Jesus Christ , whom you have sent.

Sacrifice your first born Child/Animal

Exodus 22:29-30 “Do not hold back offerings from your granaries or your vats. You must give me the firstborn of your sons. Do the same with your cattle and your sheep. Let them stay with their mothers for seven days, but give them to me on the eighth day

Ezekiel 20:25-26 “So I gave them other statutes that were not good and laws through which they could not live; I defiled them through their gifts—the sacrifice of every firstborn—that I might fill them with horror so they would know that I am the Lord.’

Menstruating women defile everything!

Leviticus 15:19-20 “When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening. “‘Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The people of the Book used to read the Torah in Hebrew and then explain it in Arabic to the Muslims. Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said (to the Muslims). "Do not believe the people of the Book, nor disbelieve them, but say, 'We believe in Allah and whatever is revealed to us, and whatever is revealed to you.' "

[Sahiih al-Bukhaari Hadiith No. 7362]

Al-Qurtubi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

If the one who reads it – namely the Qur’an – will have a tenfold reward or more for each letter, according to what we mentioned in the introduction to this book, then turning away from it and towards other Books is misguidance and loss, and it is a bad deal and waste of time.

End quote from al-Jaami‘ li Ahkaam al-Qur’an (16/37 8)

Al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

The books of the Torah and Gospel are among the things that it is prohibited to seek benefit therein, because they changed and altered them.

End quote from Rawdat at-Taalibeen (10/259)

It says in Mataalib Ooli an-Nuha (1/607):

It is not permissible to study the books of the people of the Book, based on textual evidence
, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) got angry when he saw ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) carrying a page of the Torah. … And they should not read books that contain both truth and falsehood, or narrate what they learn from them, because that may be detrimental to belief. End quote.

Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

With regard to this matter, it is important to note that in the case of those who are not well-versed in knowledge and are lacking in faith, it is not permissible for them to read any of those books.

End quote from Fath al-Baari (13/525)
