Now you can receive web and push notifications from IslamicBoard for new replies on your subscribed threads and for new PMs. Simply click on the green bell icon that you see at the lower left corner to subscribe.

You can also browse IslamicBoard on your smartphone using a browser (preferably chrome or Firefox) and click on the bell icon after logging in. IslamicBoard's default theme is fully responsive and works great on mobile as well.

Those who attempted to subscribe during the past two days, please re-subscribe again. There was a misconfiguration which prevented the subscription and notifications from being sent.

Click on the green bell icon at the bottom left corner of your browser to subscribe, as shown in the screenshot below.

I am looking for feedback on this feature. Are there any suggestions for improvement? Does it work properly for everyone? Do you want us to include notifications for 'likes', 'quotes' and 'mentions' as well? Or is it too frequent and you want it to be once an hour or once a few hours, or even once a day? Or is it something entirely useless and should be removed?

BUMP

Is anyone actually using this feature?

Smartphones have taken over laptops and most of us nowadays browse on mobile. If you open IslamicBoard on your phone browser (preferably Chrome or Firefox), click on the bell icon and subscribe for notifications. You can also click on your browser options and select "Add to Home Screen". It will create an app-like icon for IslamicBoard.

See the highlighted option below:
