I have a Zakat problem

How do you, or in what way, do you pay your Zakat? There seems to be this gold and silver calculation.

If gold is above 93.75 grms or person had silver above 656.25 grms and year is passed on it so he will pay 2.5% of it. And this goes per year. And person can pay after years too. It wont be missed or qaza like prayers
