Salaam.

Could a daughter leave the house without her father’s permission (let’s say he’s not at home) and she wants to go out for something lawful like meeting friends, or something? Also, another question: does the mother have the same rights as the father in terms of their daughter going out (because I read an article about this a long time ago and they only mentioned the father). Does she have the same rights as the son in terms of these things? Also, would she be allowed out when she wants (without asking) in a marriage?

I think the hikma behind mentioning the father and not the mother on this is because 99% of dads will never let the daughter outside the house let alone go alone to meet friends, let alone go out wearing whatever fashion cloth she desires in her heart. That is how overprotective fathers are to their daughters. Mothers on the other hand...they treat their daughters like girlfriends and some compete in skimpy clothing or mothers are more open and less strict. You can come at me with guns blazing but you will have no brain if you do when all evidence to the contrary is already bombarding down your throat when only mothers have power of raising and having say to their daughters by watching them in real life, as they walk in streets, what women wearing at school or public places.

Simply, come to Canada..open the door and observe. I doubt all these women came out from just 1% dayyouth dads. Those women you see walking in the street are either from single mothers or fathers have no input or say in raising the children or dayyouth fathers an....(have noticed I keep mentioning fathers. That should clarify it.)

A wife/mother of the children have no right to leave the house without asking the permission of her husband. If the husband told her not to leave and she leaves regardless even if he told her not too...all the angels that Allah created and every single creation that Allah created except for humans and Jinns will be cursing her until she come home. Now...picture what does it mean by all creation. It means every single creation:

A) Plants,
B) Animals,
C) Atoms and particles and smaller than atoms and particles
D) Skies
E) Earth
F) Insects
G) Other species from other planets who never met us will be cursing her
H) And since we are talking about atoms and particles...well inanimate objects are made of atoms and particles so the spoon, fork, vaccuum cleaner, tvs, computers are all made from particles and atoms so those will be cursing her
I) All the hoor al-alien in paradise will be cursing her and wishing her destruction

Soooooooo....and that applies above if a man ask his her wife for bed and she refuse and he went to bed angry or upset or even in his heart sad but pretend it didn't affect him and act all funny and laugh it out.........she is still cursed. Sooooo...no. Women and men are different. Laws for men are exclusive for men only and only for him. Laws for women are exclusive to women and only and only for her. Even if let us say 10 years from now only one man left on Earth and the remaining 8 billion people are females....the laws for him still apply and laws for her still apply and he the man still have to go out there and run the country of all let us say 4 billion women who are Muslim...he still have to become the ruler of that country and run affair and he still have to work and financially support his wife and the wife still have to obey him and she still have to ask his permission if she have to leave even if there are no more men left except for him.

It is not about there are no more men left so she is safe or why when women can do the same as men and she can do them better than men or or or....

it is about obey Allah. It is about that and that's it. Whatever scenario Allah is putting us...he wants to see if we obey him regardless of our rationality and logical thinking.

wa'salaam,

This may also be relatable...

The basic principle is that a woman should not leave her husband’s home without his permission, and if she leaves without his permission, then she is being disobedient and wilfully defiant (nushooz). She loses the right to maintenance and is sinning thereby. But an exception is made in cases of necessity and the fuqaha’ have given several examples of that, such as if she goes out to buy flour, bread or other necessities, or she is afraid that the house may collapse, and so on. Asna al-Mataalib ma’a Haashiyatihi (3/239).
