Start from the beginning, with an English translation of Ibn Kathir's tafsir. Here's a link to a website providing a digital copy for free:

Also, please use these websites to further your understanding of Islam:

As for where you should go to meet others and learn more, your local Masjid should do nicely.
 
I know that is from start to finish, so it should be read in that order?

That's not a version. It is a translation. The Qur'an is only one and it is in Arabic. Different people have translated and they may differ slightly in their word usage, but the actual Quran is in Arabic.
