I was just watching stuff on the internet and accidebtly I have seen a comercial saying that pharoph Ramsis was the one who called Moses to his palace for a challenge and then he ordered his wizards to throw sticks and to turn them into a snake and then Moses throwed his and then it turned into a snake too but then his snake ate all the other snakes, and when I read that comercial I thought it was true and that gave me the conclusion that Ramsis is the one who chases those poor Hebrew people to enslave them again when they wdre heading for freedom alongside with Moses.

So, does Quran mentiones his name? Because, I want to see if what I read it is true or not.

Some people believe that pharaoh who chased prophet Musa a.s was Ramses II because they regard that Ramses city that built by Hebrew slaves is same as Pi-Ramesess city that built under order from Ramses II. But historical discovery found that Ramses II was born few hundred years after the time of prophet Musa a.s.

Who was the pharaoh that chased prophet Musa a.s is still debatable. But definitely is not Ramses II.
