Salam,
I set my alarm for 4:10am today, the start of the time for fajr. I was tired so I decided to ‘rest my eyes for a few minutes’ and the next thing I knew it was 5:15am! I checked that sunrise was at 5:25 so I hastened to perform wudu and pray. I managed to finish on time Alhamdullilah. However, before praying I looked outside the window and I saw that the sky was a light blue color. Is that okay? Also, if I prayed when the sun was rising, is it haram? And is my prayer valid? Or on time? Jazakumallah

:salam:

If you've prayed before sunrise then the prayer is valid. Fajr time ends at sunrise.
The sky will be bright because the sun is about to rise.

During sunrise it is prohibited to pray salah. You have to wait for about 20 minutes before you can pray any other prayer.
