کیا گھر میں جمعہ کی نماز پڑھ سکتے ہیں؟

Short summary of the Fatwa in video:

In non-Muslim countries, it is permitted to establish Jumuah prayers at any place even if only 4 Muslim men gather, provided any other Muslim is permitted to join them.

If there are less than 4 people, or if the place has restricted entry (like a person's home where only the family members are allowed), then they should pray Zuhr prayer instead.

In Muslim countries, if the Muslim ruler prohibits people from establishing Jumuah due to certain circumstances, then people should pray 4 rakat of Zuhr prayer instead. They can pray zuhr in congregation if they want but they are not permitted to establish Jumuah prayers without the Muslim ruler's permission.

There is no Hadith which states minimum number required for Friday prayer. There are hadiths which state the minimum number required for a congregational prayer is two or more. Anyways, without getting into details, below is a link to a fatwa from Islamqa which states minimum number required for Friday prayer is three (03).

https://islamqa.info/en/answers/7718...mu146ah-prayer

They have not provided any evidence either. But the point being, the claim of OP to have minimum four (04) people for Friday prayer has no evidence, it is most likely a personal opinion of the imam or ruling if a particular madhab. If there is clear evidence, we can follow him but difference of opinion suggests that we don’t have any clear evidence in this regard.

Another fatwa below indicates minimum # required for Friday prayer can be 4 ( Hanafi opinion even though I have heard of three from many hanafi scholars) or 12 ( Maliki opinion) or 40 ( shafi’ opinion) depending on which madhab one follows, but yet again no evidence from Hadith.

Below is another link by fiqh council and they have addressed several issues related to Coronavirus and towards the end they have also mentioned that minimum number required for Friday prayer is three or four.

In summary we have three fatwas here with different minimum numbers mentioned and it seems three (03) is also acceptable number.

And Allah knows the best!
———————EDITED——————

Apparently the Hanafi madhab has two opinions in their regard. One group is of the opinion that minimum required number for Friday prayer is four (04) and other says it’s three (03).
