Some countries, including Brazil , uses honey as a cure for COVID-19. They add aspirin to hot honey. With its antiviral properties, it would likely can. Would you say natural remedies should be supported to fight the pandemic?

There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought.

Honey can have multiple benefits for our health and well being.. Its part of the sunnah

But can it cure covid 19? There isn't really any evidence. I mean its a virus.. You'd need a vaccine to really prevent it. The cure is just waiting for it to go away and putting trust in Allah

I dont see why it shouldn't be supported though. Honey is good for our health if taken in moderate amounts. Long term wise, real honey could be slightly beneficial just like other healthy food.

But if I was at the risk of getting the flu (and it really is horrible sometimes lol I got it last year + a strep throat) and someone offered me to choose honey OR a vaccine.. Id pick the vaccine

I would pick a mixture of Black Seed Oil and honey over a Vaccine that has been rushed with unknown side effects.

Assalamu Alaikum,

With Allah, all things are possible Inshallah, however viruses right now can't be cured. They are only treated for their symptoms and can sometimes go dormant in your body for years before being reactivated again . This is why it's important to protect yourself and prevent yourself from getting them in the first place.

I would deny the vaccine too...I wouldn't want to get a vaccine which is not long term tested. who knows what terrible side effects it has.

However, that is only an option when you are still healty.
Imagine you getting terribly sick from this corona that you are in the intensive care, and this vaccine is the only proven way to cure you...would you then still deny and say, "just give me the black seed oil and honey instead?"

the vaccine only PREVENTS infection, it doesn't stop it, brother. also, studies show that once you have gotten covid, and get over it, you develop immunity to it. (but not when some of it is still in your system, but studies are still being done).

See but the thing is, if he did pick the honey and not the vaccine and then he got sick... It would already be too late if he was seriously ill because there is no cure to a virus other than to wait. Vaccines will help prevent the virus or prevent more serious symptoms only if you take it beforehand. But at that point, you can't use a vaccine as a cure but only a prevention

I would take the Black Seed Oil and Honey over a rushed vaccine. I know the risks of not taking the vaccine, but I don't know what the risks of taking it would be either. I'm not too worried either way, if I am meant to die, then I am meant to die.

I guess the best thing to do is to be cautious and healthy. Honey is beneficial to fight off illnesses, added to warm water and lemon every morning is a great way to start the day.

About the vaccine, though it is scary as we could only wait and find out if there are permanent side effects or what not, it's the only thing that will take away our fear from being infected by the virus. We just have to trust that it will work.
