Hey.... the translator was actually pretty accurate [emoji3]

May allah also bless you and your family with much love and health. And no lockdown. Or at least none that'll cause madness at the grocery again.

Haha, ich werde auch den Übersetzer benutzen! Ich bin kein Deutscher, aber tatsächlich kenne ich einige Muslime meiner ethnischen Gruppe, die in Deutschland leben.

Honestly I will say.. I've always wanted to move to the UK or Germany in the future.. I don't know if I ever will.. I live in the USA

I know it is hard for Muslims to be living in France so I wouldn't want to move there.

Hey sister, believe it or not, I've strongly been considering wanting to visit the uk for a minute or ten. I would like to just see how people live there. And it's often portrayed as a more tolerant place than many I've seen. Though what's real is always different.

I am originally from boston. I spent half my life in the states and the other half in germany. But I have been fortunate enough to travel a bit. My heart got left in Egypt though. And one day I will live there انشالله

Why shouldn't you be able to move? Of course you can. The world is full of good places. Even germany has some nice areas. I am just a bit downtrodden about it because I've been here too long. There's a lot I do like, but just as much as I really dislike.

I guess the same problems are everywhere. But whenever you do get here, don't forget to look me up!

Why every american girl seems to want to come to germany jaja.As the other girl said there is a lot to like and to dislike.Tbh from what i see here only the health insurance and security are better than other countries, other than that its not as good as people think it is.Too many rules, people are too rigid and cold, taxes, that german punctuality doesnt exist,racism,2 years long contract about everything,3 years training to learn how to clean windows, taxes again.I will stop before i get too negative.I dont know if its the foreigners who have changed germany or the country is just getting exhausted.Uk could be harder to live but would make you more happy.Especially if you dont speak the language,or you dont have an education that is recognised by germany,it would be a torture here.Waaay better in Uk

The pyramids....believe it or not, I still didn't get to see them!

Amen!!!!!! Finally someone with the honesty to say what it is and not just be full of "lobeshymnen"

Though it's not just a foreign influx or even just the german mentality....

Its riding on a standard that was set and taking credit for achievements made long before we were around.

Paired with a stubborn mule attitude of refusing to change and straight arrogance. Yep, good ol' Germany

But the countryside is fantastic! Seldom saw such natural beauty in one place!

oh Danke, ich wusste es nicht.Ich bin ganz allein hier und mein deutsch ist furchbar haha.Ich weiss nicht wie die sachen laufen.

Lets say this in english. It costs germany at least 17 million euros for 1 month quarantine, not to mention hundreds of thousands of peoplewho have lost their jobs and enterpreneurs who have lost their bussineses. And all this to keep the infection rates low, below 20.000.With this infection rate we have around 7 million infected a year. But we are 80 million people here. Are we gonna keep going with the quarantene for years and years?.Almost all my friends got infected, and they said its like a flu,one even has the virus now and he is living normally,he feels nothing. There is some big conspiracy thing going on here.No way this virus is worth all the money and drama.

ma shaa Allah, did you convert in germany? I am also a convert

Yes MashaAllah I've noticed that many of the Muslims there are more serious. The jilbabs I buy are coming from the UK, I've noticed they have many good jilbab stores.. And I watch many Muslim youtube videos, all from the UK

No, your german is very good. How long have you been here? Did they make you take the integrationskurs?

I've been here for far longer than I care to admit and I learned by talking to people. What things are you having issues with? I mean, hessen isn't bayern but basic rules about everything are all the same and maybe I can help you out. If you'd like

Yes, I converted here but I did it all by myself. I have yet to actually obtain the certificate but I plan to sometime in the new year. انشالله it'll happen.

Yeah... I knew a few that came down with the virus and they said the same. My daughters have not spent four weeks in school without being quarantined for 14 days because of someone contracting it.

Yes, there are those who are very very susceptible to the dangers of any virus. My brothers wife works in geriatric care and a girl I know has stage four cancer... so yeah.. I pray for them. For everyone who needs prayers and the mercy of allah. So pretty much everyone!

I haven't been to Greece yet but I've been told it's beautiful. The food is excellent. Just filling for weeks on end!

Yes that's so true! I have that feeling too. Sometimes I think the muslim communities in the uk have that mix of traditional and modern I would like. At the very least, a high degree of acceptance. I hope it's not just on the videos. It would be great if it was like that for real. Guess we'll find out fir ourselves one day انشالله

InshaAllah
Oh snap, no.... it's not that bad here sister. Only sometimes.

I don't know what state you're in but I am sure there's plenty enough that is low key bad and no one talks about it. Same here.

Racism, for example, is a very big thing but it's kept so down low that most people would never admit to it. Because they don't even see it. The fools hollering are very loud but they are not the majority. Mist of the "bad" is kept hushed. Which us why it goes unnoticed or unspoken for.

The majority here prevails in ignorance. Which is far, far worse

But people are people everywhere

its soooo sooo true. I am european with american name and 'white looks',i dont give any vibe that im muslim.Actually people are veryyy surprised if i say that i am.Yet i experience racism. In an indirect way and elhamdulillah not a lot,and i am able to brush these things off immediately but from what foreigners tell me,ugh, they have it hard, and i cant imagine how much racism a muslim foreigner experiences.Though we cant blame germany sooo much for that. This problem exists in every country. With the lies they hear on tv i am suprised they arent more racist.

Oh the problems are everywhere and they are spread out in different ways. There's always going to be areas where it's worse than others. I guess it always comes down to the individual in front of us and the individual we ourselves portray.

Oh yeah speaking of racism in Germany, a video popped up on my youtube feed.

This korean asian girl who vlogs made a two minute compilation of people some Germans(racist ones) bothering her. They made fun of asians and some would randomly hit her camera when she was walking. It was so sad because she was very hurt/emotional

At the end there was a very kind old German man who said hi to the camera and apologized on behalf of those people and then welcomed her
