There is nothing to be embarrassed about your religion.
Our religion, is comptele Truth, a way of life and only path of happiness. We should be proud that Allah chose us to be Muslims.
Unfortunately there are some of Muslims especially when they are in West. While giving dawah, some kafirs may ask questions "what about fighting in the quran?" To which the Muslims begins feeling ashamed and tries to hide it or even end up mixing it with falsehood. This was never behaviour of Prophets peace be upon them, they always stood up for truth.
My brothers there is nothing to be ashamed about our religion. You should learn it, feel proud of it. You should never stop yourself from spreading truth.
Don't be apologetic.
Understand that Allah says in Quran.
Al-Baqarah 2:120
وَلَن تَرْضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰۗ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم بَعْدَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him) till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Quran), then you would have against Allah neither any Wali (protector or guardian) nor any helper.
So no matter what. You cannot change islam. You cannot make homosexuality halal when Allah has forbade it. You cannot make polygamy haram when Allah has permitted it. If you do so then your islam is void... you must be very careful. Kafirs will never be pleased with you until you leave islam. This is even confirmed by this verse.
Al-Baqarah 2:11
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ
And when it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "We are only peacemakers."
Al-Baqarah 2:12
أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْسِدُونَ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ
Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not.
They think they know better, and that they are "peacemaker" but this is always refuted by Allah in these verses.
We see that it is infact kafirs who have been killing Muslims, raping the women and children, torturing them and so. Afghans and iraqi are being slaughtered by
US. France murdered millions of Algerian and even puts their skulls as part of their achievement on the museum. This is seen in a twitter by that shaytan pig macron may Allah curse be upon him.
May Allah guide us to what is good.
