Greetings and peace be with you, and thanks for sharing. I was diagnosed with the same cancer too.

In 2011 I had tests done for cancer, about a month later the doctor phoned and said he urgently wanted to see me, it was non – Hodgkin Lymphoma. This was a name I recognised, our friend had this cancer, and died a few months later. Being told I had cancer was out of my hands, there was nothing I could do about it. But I still had choices; I could dictate how the cancer was going to affect my mind and my ability to cope with the news.

A few minutes after putting the phone down; I prayed for the wisdom, strength and peace to do God’s will, whether the cancer was a death sentence, or just an inconvenience. I can only say that from the moment of making this prayer, I have experienced a profound sense of peace that is beyond my understanding, and the thought of cancer has never troubled me for a moment.

Cancer could be a truly worrying process, you wait a month or two for appointments, you wait for the results, and you wait for more appointments. I have never once prayed for healing, at the age of 62, the prayer for healing seemed too complicated, it might or might not be my time to go. Recognising this profound sense of peace comes from God, gives me reason to be thankful.

The point I am trying to make is this, even if the doctors were to say that 60 % of people with this cancer live, they can’t tell you whether you are going to be one of the 60 % that live. You will have to live with a lot of uncertainty over a period of time, this is why I prayed for the wisdom, strength, perseverance and the peace to do God’s will, whether the cancer was a death sentence or just an inconvenience.

On your video link they talk about the pain from chemotherapy, this is not surprising. Chemo was discovered during WW1, they noticed that soldiers who had been subjected to mustard gas had shrunken cancer cells. The same kind of chemicals in mustard gas are used for chemo!

Blessings;
Eric

As Eric h said all you can do is pray if you get cancer and such disease I myself have bipolar disorder so all I can do is duaa prayer ..

I find that surah muzzamil was like a cure when recited and also tasbih ..for my depression

Quran recitiation and tasbih is shifaa for cancer

You need to sprinkle holy water on it
It is indeed the evil eye ...that causes such diseases and also Satan causes such diseases as well ..

May Allaah give fine health to all Muslims...
