Bismillaah:
Huzaifah ibn al Yamaan رضي الله عنه said:
The Noble Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
''Whoever spits in the direction of the Qiblah will come on the Day of Resurrection with his saliva between his eyes.''
Takhreej:
{ Imam Abu Dawud in his Sunnan and the hadeeth is Hasan }
Abdulaah ibn Umar رضي الله عنه said:
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
The person who spits in the direction of the Qiblah will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment with his spitting on his face."
Takhreej:
{ Imam Ibn Khuzaimah in his Saheeh }
Shaykh Naasir ud Deen al Albaani رحمه الله commented:
" It is prohibited to spit facing the Qiblah absolutely, regardless of whether it is in the mosque or other than it; and this prohibition applies to the person praying and the one not praying as stated by as San’aani. Imaam An Nawaawi asserted authoritatively that such is prohibited in all situation: during Salaah or outside the Salaah, in the mosque or other than it. This is the correct view based on the reported ahaadeeth concerning the prohibition.
{ Silsilah Ahadeeth us Saheehah 1/389 , Subul us Salaam 1/230 }
