Does giving tasbih to someone has meaning??

As salamu alaykum I'm a muslim student ,
We are doing some activities And we are supposed to buy each others presents , I have to buy present for a boy in my class
And I wanted to buy him a tasbih but I just want to know if there is
Any meaning behind it in our Muslims society rather than Allah 's ebadah , I will appreciate your answers.
