Can any Christian here explain to me, why worshiping Santa Claus - fictional character, taken from Nordic mythology during Christmas?

AND why you lying to kids about this character?

Santa Claus is a historical character who lived in southwestern anatolia in the early years of christianity. He was giving gifts to poor children. Later christians turned him to this fictional character.
