Muslim Female doing a back massage on a Non Muslim male - is it HARAM?

Could you guide me here please. A Muslim Female 40yrs of age, has been giving a non Muslim male back massages. I explained to her that I believe what you are doing is Haram. She shrugged this off. But can you confirm that such conduct or doing is HARAM as a Muslim female massaging a non-Muslim male?

Wa Alaikum Asalaam,

It is irrelevant whether they are Muslim or non Muslim. A woman cannot massage a non mahram man and a man cannot massage a non mahram woman. A woman can massage a woman and a man can massage a man provided the awrah is not uncovered and it is done without any lust involved. Please see the following:

It is not that well and easy to attack muslim womrn doing similar jobs (as therapist), especially in the west, as that is their maybe only income and men do not provide for them.

Even in the time of prophet saws muslim women probably were female nurses/doctors/therapist.

Of course it is better as the brother moderator said, but to change real world muslim lives is not that easy and we should be skilled and wise, not to mimick barbarians and cause more fitna instead of noor.

If we would be able and willing to donate to the women, to improve their offices and help them transition towards female only clients, that would be superb inshaAllah.
