Is all music haram?

Peace be upon you,

I was wondering if all types of music is forbidden in islam.
Of course we don't have to discuss songs about topics like drugs, gangs etc. Or romantic songs with sexual text. Those are obviously forbidden.
I'm asking about music that's about other topics. For example songs with motivational text or just a happy song that's not about any of the forbidden themes mentioned above. (some songs just have a positive message)
Are those songs still forbidden to listen to?
And what about instrumental music that has no singing?

The four Imams, their followers and the vast majority of earlier Muslim scholars are of the view that musical instruments are haraam, to such an extent that it was narrated that there was consensus on this issue.

Al-Qurtubi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

With regard to flutes, stringed instruments and drums, there is no difference of scholarly opinion that it is haraam to listen to them. I have not heard from anyone whose word carries weight among the early generations and later imams that any of them regarded that as permissible. How can it not be haraam when this is the habit of drinkers and evildoers, and it stirs up desires and corruption and immorality. Whatever is like that is undoubtedly haraam and the one who does it is an evildoer and a sinner.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

The view of the four imams is that all musical instruments are haraam.

It is permissible for women to beat the daff and to sing permissible songs on permissible occasions such as Eid, celebrations and the like.
Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:


It is permissible for him – the bridegroom – to allow women to announce the marriage by beating the daff only, and by singing permissible songs in which there is no description of beauty or mention of immoral phrases… then he mentioned the evidence for that.
