View Full Version : Saving an Astronaut -love scams, lies and arrogance

Recently it was heard that a lady fell for a love scam from someone who was saying they were stuck in out of space, and she gave him a hefty sum to save him. People put this down to being fooled, vulnerable etc. Rather, I see it as being arrogant and this is what happens when people don't look towards Allah, as they put themselves first (and say they are going to be looked upon and treated with as if they are needed rather than Allah).

Yes, there have been so many, but are quite similar-can't put it down to just being besotted and loved, even though if real or not it is an extreme example, but to go over:

1. To say to someone that you are stuck out of space, in the army abroad and only you, not their Manager, organisation or country can help them, but only you is of arrogance.

2. This is where it is not unkind, neither is it cruel for people to learn and accept what they are capable of-so you won't be fooled.

3. People go with the wrong crowd and be fooled to thinking they are much, this is why those that rejected Allah, will be fools as they can't answer correctly in the graves.

4. It has become the norm just to appear sympathetic if someone can't get married to someone they like-here automatically makes them a victim. Well Allah is not going to send you to Paradise because you couldn't get married. He is going to send you there as you remained steadfast in Islam regardless of the losses.

5. Here, this is where as in the west it is about giving criminals what they want to cheer them up-here they are saying, that if you give them much they will be good -but this is not the test. Allah didn't say, as long as you get what you want, you can accept Islam. If you can't get what you want, then you can reject it.

6. Allah never said that stealing was only a crime, when you took something that you really wanted but couldn't afford it. Here, a lot of stock is being placed on where someone wants something -just because you want something and it means so much to you, doesn't make it more important-as you are supposed to submit to Allah's will (and not complain that everything is working out to your own will).

7. Arrogance, as above, is why people get fooled and then they have the nerve to complain that those bad people didn't fit in a part of their life-both fooling each other. This is why you get strange stories, of people just having to say, I had an accident, no I need money for this, for my child-but you are not the parents of the child and charity is to give the poor their due -not to give them whatever they want nor is it about being made to feel badly of-it is about doing your best and placing your trust in Allah.

Remember Allah and the Day of Judgement and only join the Mahdi and the Prophet Jesus peace be upon him when he returns.
