Imam Ibn Rajab Al Hanbali رحمه الله reported:

Ka’b ibn Malik رضي الله عنه said:

“Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan and he says to himself that he will return to sinful disobedience when Ramadan is over, his fasting is rejected.”
