Is making content THIS way haram?

Im a gaming content creator, and i always find content creating entertaining. i learned professional editing, i record my gameplay, i edit it in a way according to my humor… and this is just the first reason why i create content… having fun with it. second reason is revenue. one time i realized that making content could make a good income. i thought maybe i could prepare my channel before my life actually begins (im in 12th grade) so that when inchallah i get a job. i have a backup income.

only a little time ago have i just realized music is haram. and i used to insert background music in my videos. so after a bit of thinking. i came up with this scheme:
https://imgur.com/a/dbJ3nQd
i thought that by following this scheme, i can still make content just like i used to, except i wouldn’t ever be hearing music entire time while editing! but still I’m looking for knowledgeable muslims to confirm whether making content this way haram or not.

you sound alot like my brother. :)
its so great that youre considering the haram-halal in what youre doing. Specially when its something through which we are earning money, the work directly effects our income making our money halal/haram.

That being said, again, its wonderful you realised that music in your videos isnt the best idea as a Muslim.
but im not sure that muting it while editing and unmuting it when uploading it is the best idea. Music is haram and you will be responsible for it when others listen to the music in ur videos. so, youre not exactly saving yourself. whats bad for u is bad for others too, im sure there will be quite a few muslims watching your videos.

Solution: remove the music all together, use some fun/funny sound effects. im sure people arent even focusing on the music when watching the videos. viewers will notice it missing only if you mention it.
We Muslims have to find super creative and unique ways to protect what we do from any kind of haram. it takes more effort, more thought, more courage. but we get more reward.

give it a try, videos with no music. a good try. see if it effects your views. im sure itll be just fine. in the end, Allah is the one who gives success.

i'd like to watch your videos too, share a link? :)

Salam Alaikum tbh "content creating" would be considered halal, I mean if there isn't music in the vids that ig everything is fine. Its also a good backup income like u were saying and can help u in life i guess. The only way what ur doing would be considered haram would be the use of music in your videos whether you don't here it and just the viewers hear it and if the game is inappropriate. This would not only make your content creation haram but would also make your income from it haram but if its done like vice versa then ig it would be halal. Im just in 9th grade but have a bit of knowledge that I was willing to share with you.
