As Salam alaikum

I really wanted to perform salah but I just could not because
I have tourrette syndrome
Every time I make intention to do wudu or stand for prayer
My body starts making jerking movements

I try hard but I can't

I don't get these tourrette like jerking movements at other times
Like when I am doing house chores
I only get them when I do wudu or pray or fast....

Can I do other islamic things instead like zikr and Dua?...
Because it's been 15 years since I've been looking for a cure but nothing changed.....

Thank you

Walaikum as Salam

Wa alaykum assalam,

May Allah make things easy for you and grant you complete shifa, Ameen.

It is strange that you only get this problem when you want to pray. Maybe there is a different explanation behind it. Either way, you should do as much dhikr as you can for protection against all evil and In sha Allah it will become easier to pray and fast.

As Salam Alaikoum

Did you try doing Ruqya?

From what I know of Tourette Syndrome, it is a real disease that remains at all times like 24 hours. In your case it may be jinns wa Allahu A3lam. If it manifests when you try to worship Allah only it may be jinns. Try listening to surah al baqara or do ruqyah on yourself and see what symptoms do you have.

May Allah heal you

As Salam alaikum

Bismillah

I learned about zikr Allaaah
So I did zikr

Like Alhamdulillah La ilaha ilallah subhan Allah Allah Akbar

Then my situation changed and I became at peace

Every time I do zikr it becomes easy for me to do wudu and pray

Satan was scaring me through out my life
I was possessed with Satan that's all how it felt...

I see the power of zikr

I hope others recover from such ailments as well

I do sometimes get them now but just recently I have been doing Dua after 15 years that things have changed for the better ..

Alhamdulillah

Jazakh Allah Khair

Wa laikum as Salam.

Wa alaikum asalam.

Al hamdulillah.

I'm glad to hear that you are doing better. I hope you will heal completely one day insha'Allah. Keep on doing dhikr. Do also self ruqya like reading surah al baqara once every three days, reading surah a nas, al ikhlas and al falaq and also ayat al kursi before sleeping. Keep your wudu all the time if possible especially before going to sleep.

May Allah grant you complete healing and to all those who suffer
