As-salaamu-alaikum Brothers & Sisters,

As others are experiencing, I've been distraught the past few months and can focus on little more than the situation in Palestine.

I'm the author of Victory is Ours: A Brief Guide to Understanding - and Winning - the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict. Unfortunately I've been getting censored in a couple of other places for trying to speak out about Palestine, so hoping I can speak freely here.

My blog is https://maximumintifada.wordpress.com/

Soon the Gharqad tree will be heartbroken instead - inshaAllah swt.
(isn't it amazing that Muslims have stated for so long that this is prophecy (what secularists refer to as "prediction") and not instruction?
Will heaven or earth shed a tear?

7. The Gharqad Tree

This chapter documents the authors' quest to find the meaning of the Gharqad Tree based on their conversations with the different sheikhs of Hamas. As “the Hour approaches”, according to Hamas, the Forces of Light would finally prevail, and all of creation would turn against the Jews, even the land itself. Their only ally would be the Gharqad Tree. Some said the Israelis planted the tree around their settlements in the West Bank and Gaza, thereby creating magic mandalas protecting them from attack. The Gharqad Tree has become such a powerful trope in the Muslim–Jewish and Palestinian–Israeli struggle over Jerusalem and “the Holy Land” that Islamists around the globe now commonly refer to the tree exclusively in terms of the Jews of Jerusalem and Palestine.

O Ghargad tree, O GHARQAD tree,
-Please hide me,
for the chickens rush home to a roosting spree.

l never thought this day would come,
Surprised by the consequences of what l've done.

O Ghargad tree, O Gharqad tree,
Shield me now, from the truth that's about to be.
I danced with fire and played with fate,
Now I'm left here, feeling so afraid.

O Ghargad tree, O Gharqad tree,
Grant me refuge as my mistakes unfold before me.
The past has caught up with my deceit,
Surprised by the reckoning that I must meet.

-----

O Gharqad tree, O Gharqad tree,
Help, help, the chickens charge home to a roosting spree.
Their feathers ruffled, eyes wide in blaze,
Oh my, oh my, how time flies.

O Ghargad tree, O Gharqad tree,
Hold on tight as chaos unfolds before thee.
The choices made in ignorance and haste,
Now come back to haunt with unexpected taste.

O Gharqad tree, O Gharqad tree,
Witness the reckoning that was meant to be.
No longer hidden beneath shadows and lies,
The truth emerges with tartling cries
