well my whole class is full of them. jokes
As a teacher ur duty is to encourage them to become motivated.
give them additional support.
question urself why are they lazy?
might be that they dnt enjoy the textbooks or the subject. So u need to make it intresting.

Im a teacher myself and i very strongly believe that a teacher can motivate the lazy students by looking at the issue of why they are lazy.
So many diffrent issues cause students to be lazy.
u just need to find out the cause and work on it.
Retaliation against the student like in the form of punisments dosent wrk much fr me.

Well yah even though im a teacher i hated skl myself but that wasnt cause i was lazy but had teachers who dint care about the students progress.

Salamz bros and sis...
Well as a teacher myself I know exactly what ur chatting about...
Man, they are proper lazy on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons...its like they at a funeral or summat...but usually I wake em all up by talking bout footie, and Alhumdollillah they start tackling their tasks and they reach their goal.;D
>Have jokes in between when ur teaching, tell em an interesting story, maybe summat relating to the topic...
Have fun plenary sessions(Teachers should know what im talking about) like games etc, this will motivate em.
Tell you what usually works with my students. When I mark their books, put in some funky stickers to say how good their homewrok has been, good classwork etc.even if its not good, a sticker wud be nice it will be some kind of encouragement). The older students love it too...lol..Trust me it will work.InshAllah.
Good Luck

It's not our fault I blame the teachers their dull they don't communicate enough, plus something needs to be done about early mornings.
