just a suggestion

Yes good idea.
Here is one place you can look for Quran verses. You just type in the sura and verse and it goes to it.

http://www.islamicity.com/QuranSearch/

It has both the Arabic text and English translation. If there can be something like this on this site that would be great.
Peace.

I don't think it's possible to implement that but could be in the near future insha'Allaah.

i think its somewhat useless to have a new search engine of Quran and Hadith when so many sites already offer that service.

However, if Admins still want to implement it, the best solution would be to search through other Islamic Sites that offer this service.

It may create a slight/significant strain on bandwidth and substantially increase visitor clicks, would advertising cover it?

There's a really light text only version available on leeds uni site but i can't find an index page, just on web search and by editing the chapter and verse numbers in the link.

https://www.comp.leeds.ac.uk/nora/html/6-148.html

Edit:
Found it - multi translation word search in around 5 mb offline file available in different formats:

Also, what if, the Quran section of this site would have a discussion thread below every Sura? Or may be even a thread for every Verse?

http://quran.com/ has really good search capability and can search transliteration as well as translations.
