How racist are you?

I decided to start this thread mainly because I don't think I am racist but then again I thought very very carefully about it and I think I am racist to some extent and I think nearly everyone is racist to some extent. Am I causing you to get frustrated and do I hear you protesting thats just absurd and unheard of and that you dont care and you aren't racist...well face it people we have some things we simply will not do with some people of other races I will start by giving examples to explain where I am coming from...I am fair-skinned in color and I am asian and have no problems with black people at all I even eat with black people sometimes at the mosque one of my best friends is black I even invite some black friends over to my house....however I don't think I would ever marry a black women ever ...why because she is black? People will give other reasons and say thats harsh and racist but is it? Ok for those of you that are not black and will marry a black person would you let you younger sister or would you let your daughter marry a black person? Same goes for me and white people I would maybe marry a white person...but I sure know I wouldn't allow my son or daughter to..does that make me racist? So the question is how racist are you? Do you think you are racist?

erm i think people forget that racism is not only about skin colour
its also about creed too me tinks thats the right word i dont know!!
erm like within the asian culture theres alot of racism

you see I want to know if other people think like this also...this is not a problem I have just a kind of survey I want to do ....I accept people of other colors very easily as friends and stuff but at some point I get racist....

Dont think I am...I mean maybe Allah knows best but i never intentionally cuss a person of different race ...I mean i dont find someone addressing me as 'Paki' wrong...thats ma nationality and i'm proud of it deep down das ma roots so why should i be offended...however it does kind of depend on what context you use it in i guess WalaykumAsalaam x

nowadays people just don't the ''meaning'' of being racist! and i know that asians are called black and christains are called white but then again you need to think twice because god created them so no ones perfect on earth!

its like well you know if a ''dog barks then just don't feed it''!
i understand that my skin color is ''white'' whereas when i dress like an asian people just sater and it propper takes the piss! ffended: ffended:

I dont see myself ever dissing someone soley on their race like I said...but would you honestly marry a white guy? or a black guy? or a bengali? or a chinese? or a ex hindu?

I think you are extremley mixed up.
Just because you're christian you're not white. Same as just because you're asian you're not black. And what do you mean by asian clothes? I know a lot of white and black ppl who wear asian clothes and no one stares. It's fashionable. Maybe you mean islamic clothing?

well, i think everyone is racist to some extent, even if it is subconscious sometimes and we are unaware of it at times.

hafizmo, i think i can relate to what you said about being ok to marry someone of a different race but parents wont allow it for their children.

i personally think that there is nothing wrong with marrying someone from a different race or nationality
on the other hand, my parents would never agree to it.

I know question wasnt to me...but i really really dont care about skin colour...partically cos i know we're all a different skin colour due to different levels of pigment i mean im not even the same skin colour as my siblings and we have same moma and dadda...loolool i mean we're different shades...i mean who cares?!!? its only skin colour when you cut me do i not bleed the same as you?? subhanaAllah...oh well i guess its cos racism is innate!!!
