As for Birthdays,i dont celebrate birthdays myself.

Not mine anyway,but when its the birthday of someone who is close and dear to me,i give them presents,nothing big,its always something small,like a book.
(Im a firm believer in "knowledge is power")

Those muslims that celebrate their birthdays,i dont condemn them for doing so.

I can respect their choice.

Those that choose not to celebrate it (such as me (in a sense) ),good on them.

LIVE AND LET LIVE.

As for the bid'ah brigade,obviously you've found your way into this thread.

PLEASE for the love of god,try NOT to post,try to LEAVE the thread in peace,without the usual "it is haram! you will go to hell if you..." lecture.

If it gets closed,then fair enough,i wont (can't :p ) argue with that,its proberly the best move actually.It will cut down a 5page arguement.

But while this thread is up and running,lets see if the bid'ah brigade can shutup.

Man I was hoping you'd say why it made you sad so we could avoid doing anything as such in the future.

EDIT: I dont think Woodrow has seen this, he hasnt replied to it, so boy I hope he will be the one to close this
