I was told by one of my family members that wearing Green on your wedding is a Sunnah of the Prophet SAW. i have checked the Hadiths and found nothing.

Is this right?

^the only thing i've heard of Green is that it's the color of the clothes of the people of Jannah. Wearing white is sunnah for men. there's a hadeeth saying "wear white, and wrap your dead in white" or by that meaning.

Hi Sis

I hope you don't mind me going off topic, but can you tell me what this is about?
Look into my eyes
Tell me what you see
You don't see a damn thing
'cause you can't relate to me
You're blinded by our differences
My life makes no sense to you
I'm the persecuted one
You're the red, white and blue

Thanks.:)

There is no hadeeth which says that it is Sunnah for a bride to wear Green on her wedding and it shouldn't be made a practise because this has no basis in Islaam. However we do know that Rasulullah peace be upon him used to wear Green clothes .
Abu Ramthah said: “I saw the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wearing two green garments.” Reported by al-Tirmidhi

But no it's not true that it's Sunnah to wear Green on weddings :)

Jazakallah Kharyan for your comments. I did read that the Prophet saw wore all colours but disliked Yellow!
