I dont think this is a good idea, especially if u give someone a bad rep, thats all i need is them pming me and stalking me because i said they were wrong for what they wrote especially if its someone who gives me a problem in the first place, this takes all the privacy away, great start more problems, also i rather not see the rude comments when i get a bad rep, even though tehres only 2 out of all my other good reps, its just the point, why start more annoyances.


But glad to see all the sweet reps i have gotten

when you give a person a bad rep i think you click the red button..i dont know i've never given anyone a bad rep but i've received one once..it takes away from yoru rep count :X

hmm, no comments for my post earlier, noone agrees that this might start problems between people? for instance someone getting mad that someone else gave them a bad rep? now they will see who gave it to them and confront them through a nasty pm, of course i wouldnt do something like this but i just know at least a few nuts will be on here stalking people now over this.

Each thing has a good and bad side with it. It is true some of us my not want to be known to the person we give a negative rep to. But, at the same time if we do feel that a neg rep is called for we need to stand up and acknowledge we have given it. The few times I have given a neg, I also PM'd the person and let them know I had done so and the reason why.

I believe the main reason the visibility was restored is because so many people wanted to know who had given them positive reps.

I do not believe you should have much concern over anybody stalking you to give you negatives. Remember, each person has to give out reps before they can give them to or take them from the same person again.

I believe the number of reps we are permitted to give is limited in 24 hour blocks. I get
that message also. I think that was put into place to maintain a level of credability for the reps we give among other reasons.

No it is not necessary to type in a reason for the rep, but it is a nice gesture.

Reps are a great tool for us as individuals, provided we use and read them in the intent there are meant to serve.

Reps are not a popularity contest. They are a guide so that we can see and learn how we are perceived by others. A negative rep can be just as valuable as a positive one. A neg does not have to be viewed as a personal vindeta, it can be a tool to see if how our words are perceived by others.

The problems can come when people attempt to use the rep system for wrong purposes. Fortunatly, the reps are now moderated and this should eliminate them from being used as insult or fitnah tools.
