Death
You haunt me, on sunny days
Over the twisted drive
On a circular hill
On white bridges with sharp edges
& the scattered forgotten hedges
I have seen you there
In the distant look of their faces
Ending with complete knowledge
& in the dark cold nights when I sleep
I feel your presence
In rooms where lifeless bodies cling
To each mechanical breath and desperate efforts
Amidst screams
Flared tempers & power trips
Tantrums and the acceptance of good-byes
Rush the seasons
With false sense of control
& it becomes my turn!
