I think eid salah in masjid al haram will be lead by sheikh Muhammed Subayil or Sheikh Salih bin Humaid becauset they are the most senior imams i think. For the Hajis i think Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Sheilh leads

Like in madinah to mostely sheikh thubayti and sheikh hudhafiy.

The small eid is mostly led by sheikh thubayti in madinah and in mecca sheikh

Eid ul adha led by in mecca by sheikh sudais and in madinah sheikh hudhafy.

I think it was posted here before that to become an Imam, you have to be firstly, an arab, have good tajweed when reciting Qur'an and I think it also depends on the amount of knowledge one has. I am not sure but I think the King decides.

Besides being Imam, they have otehr professions too such as Sheikh Humaid who is the President of the ashura council and Sheikh Shuraim who is a Judge, I think.

to be an imam of haramain is a great blessing of Allah...
if u have talent,and it is ur ambition to become an imam,continue praying to Allah, because it is Allah not the king who will accept u as an imam,and there is no discrimination btw an arab or a non arab in eyes of Allah...
the point is, u should possess perfect arabic accent and good tajweed along with a good style.

They let sheikh ayouub lead in madina masjid quba because like they dont show it on tv and like its not like madina and makkah.

Like have you seen in mecca in taraweeh they bring sheikh juhany because he is a saudi but they dont bring sheikh ayuub because i think he is not and arab.

Hafiz Idress, I'm not a student of SS personally, Everyone is a student of Sheikh Shuraim as we listen to his Khutbahs and the listen to the Quran,but Insallah, with Allah's help, Ill learn from the Sheikhs themselves.

Jazakallah Khair for answering these questions, so if you have good tajweed and a lot of knowledge of islam, But do you have purchase like a degree from an university? You see, as you say, the imams have other professions as well, so if I was become an medical doctor and also become a imam of Haram, would that Qualify?

I think Sheikh Talib is a good role model to follow because he is studing as well as being an Imam, so we should really follow how he's going about it.

Well if you watch from Masjid-ul-Haram sis, there are the usual two, Sheikh Shuraim and Sheikh Sudais, but for the past 2 years, there are another 2 imam by the names of Sheikh Juhany and Sheikh Budair :)

Whoever becomes imaam is at the approval of the king, but ultimately Allah has willed for the imaams to be imaams.

Sheikh Ayoob is the former imaam of the Masjid al Nabawi, during the 1980s. Although it is said that he's originally Burmese, I think he was born and raised in Madeenah. I believe he now leads at Masjid al Quba. Allahu a'lam.

Sheikh Mu'ayqily has only led in Masjid al Nabawi in Ramadan for Taraweeh (and Tahajjud in the last nights) for the last two years. He is not a permanent Masjid al Nabawi imaam. The rest of the year he leads in another Masjid in Madeenah. Maybe brother Abdullah Saood knows where.

Sheikh Shuraim is not one for photos, he really doesnt like it. Ive seen him on countless occasions pushing people away who try and take pictures of him - and then the guards kick in (literally)!
He takes the opinion that photography is not allowed. I think sheikh Salih Talib is similar.

During the 1980s Sheikh Ayoob was a regular imaam in Masjid al Nabawi, and led Taraweeh. Afterwards, he was transferred to Masjid al Qubah. I don't know if he still leads there.

No he doesnt not even Juhany does anymore, its new imams, we see Shaykh Ayyub in Masjid Nabawi nowadays but he doesnt lead which is a shame, he teaches here at the uni aswell, Abdul Muhsin gives Duruus after Isha but its kinda hidden.
