Again, not a pretty picture by any means, but what I found under a flower pot:

They're ants eggs, and you can see some ants on/around them. As soon as the pot was lifted, they rushed to get the eggs to safety. One ant would be at the front of the egg and one at the rear, and between them they moved the eggs and carried them down a hole where their nest was, I presume. One ant veered off route, struggling with an egg, so another ant came and took the rear of the egg and steered it to the hole. Eventually all the eggs were taken down the hole.

Sub'haanallah. Ants do have advanced communication, as science has shown.

Ant societies have division of labour, communication between individuals, and an ability to solve complex problems. These parallels with human societies have long been an inspiration and subject of study.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ant

Reminds me of this:

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not."
So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants." (Qur'an, 27:18-19)

Try uploading your pictures onto photobucket. You can copy and paste from there. (Pictures might still need resizing. I don't know if there is a limit in this forum, but I usually find that a size of 800 pixels seems to work okay.

I got an entry level rebel (Canon 100D/SL1 rebel) and three lenses now.

A Tokina 11-16mm wide angle lens
A Canon 18-55mm STM kit lens
and my fave - the 50mm Prime lens. makes Bokeh look so awesome.

Not much of a photographer though - I'm trying to get good at videography, so things like pulling focus on the move are skills i'm trying to develop.

When I was a kid, my grandfather walked with me in the meadows and forests and teached me about the nature and later I have read a lot. Also, I am a mushroom hunter and a gardener. Sorry if the photo qualities are not good. I used my son's 31$ action camera, and some photos were taken in zoom mode.

I also haven't understood the uploading system here yet :hmm:. What I do is that I upload the image onto http://imgur.com/, then I copy and paste it onto this forum. You don't need to sign in or anything and you can delete it straight away. It just takes two seconds.

InshaAllah I hope that helps brother. :) BTW that was a really interesting photo.

White and black markings on the road like a Zebra.

If the pedestrian walks across it, the car has to stop, as pedestrian has priority.

Normally 30mph speed limits on roads with zebra crossings.

"Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Every image-maker will be in the Fire, and for every image that he made a soul will be created for him, which will be punished in the Fire." Ibn 'Abbaas said: "If you must do that, make pictures of trees and other inanimate objects." (Reported by Muslim, 3/1871)"

We are taking pictures of inanimate objects (some are animals I know), what's wrong with that?

Asalaam alykum Aaqib. Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) came to lighten our burden.

Did you know from Musa...Dawud..Sulaiman...Iesa; all these Prophets and in between followed the Taurat in which there was this law:

“You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. (Exodus 20:4) {New Living Translation**

Now, i am not going to give any rulings but please read what our Prophet says in the following hadiths while keeping in mind the following Ayats

O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad

), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger (

), if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination. (Qur'an 4:59)

But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad

) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission. (Qur'an 4:65)

Allah in (Qur'an 4:59) instructed us to refer to Allah (the Quran) and His Messenger (Prophet Muhammad SAW) if we disagree. Instead of whether animals are allowed or not, how about looking on the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) are as follows? Please i mean no harm. I just wish well for you as a fellow Muslim brother.:

Narrated Said bin Abu Al-Hasan: While I was with Ibn ‘Abbas a man came and said, “O father of ‘Abbas! My sustenance is from my manual profession and I make these pictures.” Ibn ‘Abbas said, “I will tell you only what I heard from Allah’s Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him). I heard him saying, ‘Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it.’ “Hearing this, that man heaved a sigh and his face turned pale. Ibn ‘Abbas said to him, “What a pity! If you insist on making pictures I advise you to make pictures of trees and any other unanimated objects.” [Bukhari 3:428]
Narrated ‘A’ishah: I stuffed for the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) a pillow decorated with pictures (of animals) which looked like a Namruqah (i.e. a small cushion). He came and stood among the people with excitement apparent on his face. I said, “O Allah’s Apostle! What is wrong?” He said, “What is this pillow?” I said, “I have prepared this pillow for you, so that you may recline on it.” He said, “Don’t you know that angels do not enter a house wherein there are pictures; and whoever makes a picture will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked to give life to (what he has created)?” [Bukhari 4:47]
Narrated Abu Talhah: I heard Allah’s Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) saying; “Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature (a human being or an animal).” [Bukhari 4:448]
Narrated Ibn Abbas: Abu Talhah, a companion of Allah’s Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) and one of those who fought at Badr together with Allah’s Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) told me that Allah’s Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) said. “Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.” He meant the images of creatures that have souls. [Bukhari 5:338]
Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: Abul Hayyaj al-Asadi told that Ali ibn Abu Talib said to him: Should I not send you on the same mission as Allah’s Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) sent me? Do not leave an image without obliterating it, or a high grave without leveling it. This Hadith has been reported by Habib with the same chain of transmitters and he said: (do not leave) a picture without obliterating it. [Muslim]
Narrated Maimunah: One morning Allah’s Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) was silent with grief. Maimunah said: Allah’s Messenger, I find a change in your mood today. Allah’s Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me last night, but he did not meet me. By Allah, he never broke his promises; and Allah’s Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) spent the day in this sad (mood). Then it occurred to him that there had been a puppy under their cot. He gave an order and it was turned out. He then took some water in his hand and sprinkled it on the place. When it was evening Gabriel met him and he said to him: You promised me that you would meet me the previous night. He said: Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. So the very next morning he commanded the dogs to be killed. He announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog used for the protection of extensive fields (or big gardens). [Muslim]
Narrated ‘A’ishah: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him), and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah’s Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for ‘A’ishah at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fatih-al-Bari page 143, Vol.13) [Bukhari 8:151]
Narrated A’ishah: When the Apostle of Allah (Peace and blessings be upon him) arrived after the expedition to Tabuk or Khaybar (the narrator is doubtful), the draught raised an end of a curtain which was hung in front of her store-room, revealing some dolls which belonged to her. He asked: What is this? She replied: My dolls. Among them he saw a horse with wings made of rags, and asked: What is this I see among them? She replied: A horse. He asked: What is this that it has on it? She replied: Two wings. He asked: A horse with two wings? She replied: Have you not heard that Solomon had horses with wings? She said: Thereupon the Apostle of Allah (Peace and blessings be upon him) laughed so heartily that I could see his molar teeth. [Abu Dawud]
Narrated A’ishah: When the Prophet became ill, some of his wives talked about a church which they had seen in Ethiopia and it was called Maria. Um Salma and Um Habibah had been to Ethiopia, and both of them narrated its (the Church’s) beauty and the pictures it contained. The Prophet raised his head and said, “Those are the people who, whenever a pious man dies amongst them, make a place of worship at his grave and then they make those pictures in it. Those are the worst creatures in the Sight of Allah.” [Sahih Bukhari 2.425]
“On the Day of Resurrection a neck will stretch forth from Hell; it will have two eyes to see, two ears to hear, and a tongue to speak. It will say, “I have been appointed to take care of three types of people: every arrogant tyrant, every person who called on some deity other than Allah and those who made pictures” [At-Tirmidthi stated that this Hadith was Sahih – At-Takhwif Min An-Nar, p.179, See also Jami’ al-Usul, 10/518, the editor said its Isnad is Hasan]
The Prophet entered upon me while there was a curtain having pictures (of animals) in the house. His face got red with anger, and then he got hold of the curtain and tore it into pieces. The Prophet said, “Such people as paint these pictures will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection.”[Narrated Aisha; Bukhari :: Book 8 :: Volume 73 :: Hadith 130; Good Manners and Form (Al-Adab)]
It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Qur’an) to you (Muhammad {S.A.W**) with truth, confirming what came before it. And He sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), Aforetime as a guidance to mankind. And He sent down the criterion [of judgement between right and wrong (this Qur’an)]. Truly, those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, for them there is a severe torment; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Able of Retribution.

Assalam

Definately I don't believe I'm changing, I'm simply clarifying you because I don't want to be one of those people who forbid the permissible. Btw "What a pity! If you insist on making pictures I advise you to make pictures of trees and any other unanimated objects" - Btw, when the prophet :saw: said "Make an image", photography is not making an image, it's capturing. Maybe the prophet :saw: was referring to artists who draw up images of people.

And second hadith, that's HARD PRINTED COPY of an image, Aisha (May Allah have mercy on her) decorated animals, but is taking a digital photo of an animal wrong? She drew it, not digitally take a photo.

Bottom line, what I believe the prophet is talking about is actual hardcore pictures, not digital photos. I believe I remember one member stated that as long as a photo stays digital, it is permissible.

I swear by Allah my intention is not to ignore what the prophet :Saw: stated, but rather actually understand it.

Maybe another person can shed some light?

Please use common sense, not blindfoldly interpreting any hadith. We dont create new creations at all, and we dont hang pictures on the walls. I believe this thread is the place for people who supports the opinion of ulamaa which said photography is MUBAH.

O you who believe! Make not unlawful the Taiyibat (all that is good as regards foods, things, deeds, beliefs, persons, etc.) which Allah has made lawful to you, and transgress not. Verily, Allah does not like the transgressors. (Qur'an 5:87)

I truly agree that Muslims should not going around making everything haram if Allah has allowed it. This is just a suggestion as a fellow Muslim:

In the past people used to draw pictures/images and used a lot of time; this was/is not allowed. In the past people used to make idols and used a lot of time; this was/is not allowed. Why is it that nowadays just because you press a button/screen/switch and a picture/image is made in no time; why do people think this is okay? If they made a machine where you press a button/screen/switch and an idol pops up instantly; would this be considered permissible? Of course not; this is absolutely haraam.Taking a picture via a camera is absolutely haraam because you are creating an image/picture; this is especially true if you study how the camera works. Just because the image/picture comes out perfectly and little time is used does not mean that it is permissible.

On the authority of an-Nu’man ibn Basheer (ra), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, “That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear, and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which many people do not know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters [eventually] falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allah’s sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh, which, if it be whole, all the body is whole, and which, if it is diseased, all of [the body] is diseased. Truly, it is the heart.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

An-Numan bin Bashir narrated that the Messenger of Allah (S) said: "The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between that are matters that are doubtful (not clear); many of the people do not know whether it is lawful or unlawful. So whoever leaves it to protect his religion and his honor, then he will be safe, and whoever falls into something from them, then he soon will have fallen into the unlawful. Just like if someone grazes (his animals) around a sanctuary, he would soon wind up in it. Indeed for every king is a sanctuary (pasture), and indeed Allah's sanctuary is what He made unlawful." Jazakallah for the hadith, this is a very doubtful matter and a matter I can't seem to stick whether right or wrong.

Just like to point out, that that's just a fellow muslim. Here's a statement from a scholar about photography:

"Whilst there is a difference of opinion on the matter of photography, the dominant opinion of the modern Scholars of High Knowledge is that photography is permissible as long as they are of benefit and not for any harmful or prohibited purposes, and that photographs of humans and animals not be displayed. As such, photographs kept in an album, drawer, computer or disk would be considered acceptable. However, photographs of humans and animals should not be displayed on walls and the like. In other words, simply stated, they are not to be left open for display"

As long as we believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), that is the best.

Differences of opionions are bound to occur since they occurred with the companions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) too.

We should respect each other's opinions if we can't agree on the doubtful matters.

It is because i love my fellow Muslims i am sharing this so that it may increase our Iman to greater heights In Shaa Allah.

What do you think of this rarely known miracle from the Quran in the link below:

The proof can be found confirmed in Apollo’s website. The details are the same as those presented below: https://airandspace.si.edu/explore-a...lo11-facts.cfm

21.7kg of moon rocks were brought back. Appolo departed from the moon 21st July 2016 (July is the 7th month in a year). Also the word “moon” occurs 28 times in the Quran. From (Qur’an 1:1) to (Qur’an 54:1), the word “moon” occurs 21 times. From (Qur’an 54:2) to the end of the Quran there are 7 occurences of the word “moon”.

Once done please re-read (Qur’an 54:1-8)

On my way to work I saw this:

The chimney of old pulp mill. It looks like it grows from nowhere on the sky. It´s behind of the river bend and there is quite much fog above of the river.
