Free will and fate

When Allah sent his prophets did he know when he sent Jesus people would misinterpret his message and that he would have to send Mohammed in the future? If he did why did he allow conflict between Muslims and Christians and leave many people dead? Also does anyone know why the richer countries in the world are mostly Christian? I'm sorry if this seems like rambling, I'm just confused right now.

Allah al 'alim, He -azza wa jalla- know everything even the smallest thing.
And what happen on the earth is just a test for someone who have faith on Allah. And Allah have given you a choice...wether to have faith on Him or not. And you will be tested with wealth, women, children, and also with your own brain. Everything which is happened is a lesson, thats why in the Quran we are ordered to take lessons verily we are blessed with brain.
And its qadarullah and written in lauh al mahfudz about Jesus people, and its also a lesson to us. That IF we dont do our religion and dont remind eachother to do Islam in original way (and far away from bid'ah) then we will be like Xtian in the future. Thats the greatest lesson form it.
And richer doesnt mean will enter heaven right? We are a muslim, and out goals is heaven. And this wealth on earth compared with the joy in the heaven will be like one tiny sand molecule with the desert. And if those kafereen are Xtians, then its a test for them, and also it can be mean istidraj -wal iyadhubillah-.

Hi New Muslim,

As Muslims we testify that there is nothing worthy of Worship excet Allah, it also follows that Allah knows All, so when we see something which confuses us we should know that Allah knew it would happen and will know what the consequence is, we might not see the wisdom but He knows it, so we don't say 'if' Allah is wise, we say, Allah is wise so how does His wisdom fit into the situation. :)

Jesus' Message was not for all people, only for Jesus' people and for a certain time period, even if Jesus' message was here today in it's totality then everyone would still have to follow t he way of Muhammad because Jesus' message was only for his people and his time.

Anyhow, to the question, yes Allah did know, as Muslims we believe that Allah has knowledge of All things.

Because this world is a test and this world has free choice, so people choose what they do and Allah tends to allow it, all people will be payed back in Mercy and Punishment on Judgement day.

Also does anyone know why the richer countries in the world are mostly Christian?

Two things I will point to you,

1. If someone takes steps to invest money and makes plans to put it towards something that will increase it, will it not then increase?

2. The will of Allah, sometimes although we have free choice the situations from which to choose from are limited or broadened by Allah and there is widsom in that, and that is also a Test.

Assalam Aleikum New Muslim,

We cannot give answers to many issues in life for that matter.
There are so many issues that may look unfair infront of our eyes..others are rich whlie others poor ....others die of hunger,earthquakes etc.
We do not know what is known as ilm ghaib ie the hidden knowledge which only Allahs knows.
I think the more knowledge you acquire in islam you will be better equipped to understand this.
