Make Money Online?

Hey, I'm sure you can all relate, ever recieve one of those e-mails saying "blah, blah,blah, sign-up and we'll pay u $5" ect. Is this actually possable to make money through advertising for companies on websites, blogs ect and if so what figure range we talking?

I'm not really sure, i read about this and kinda asked someone who had a site. They said that you get maybe like 0.01pence/cents per click, or maybe abit more/less depending on who you linking too. So it's not really that much, and Allaah Almighty knows best.
