:grumbling I've been asking all day...Now it looks like I'm begging.....And I am!!! :(
Can someone please help me to find the nth term for this quadratic sequence:
0,1,3,6,10......
Also:
Lines Crossovers Open regions Closed regions Total regions
1 0 2 0 2
2 1 4 0 4
3 3 6 1 7
4 6 8 3 11
5 10 10 6 16
Can someone help me to get the equation for 'crossovers'...?
This will mean A LOT to me.....JAZAKALLAH KHAIR to everyone who replies.

N's value would increase by 1 in each case. Number after 10 would be 15.
The rest, I have no idea. Sorry, I haven't touched this subject (well, to this level at least) for about 5 years :p.

Assalamu Alaikum
For the first part, bro aamirsaab is correct.
0+1=1
1+2=3
3+3=6
6+4=10
10+5=15
15+6=21
and so on...see pattern?
I'll try to get the other one for you soon inshallah, just give me a second.
fi aman Allah

here's the first one already (see atachment),
first line uses "n-1" to refer to the previous form so you can only find n if you know the previous one.
The second formula uses the summation so you don't need to calculate the previous term to find the answer
I'll try getting back with second asap inshaAllah

I just googled and wikied the terminology you used in the second term. I learned math in dutch so I never heraed of these terms you used before. But my search came out blank. Could you specefy your question, and tell us what it is you want us to tell you?

:mmokay: Ima kill you one o these days.....Get a few people round too lol :p
Quite a few people helped, Jazakallah khairun to them......But it was almost impossible to find an equation for that sequence. But as always.......I seem to be getting used to being ignored...Carry on everybody have a nice day :)
